The Consulta per la Valorizzazione dei Beni Artistici e Culturali di Torino ( The Association for the Enhancement of the Artistic and Cultural Heritage of Turin ) was founded in 1987 with the purpose of enhancing and promoting awareness of the historical and artistic heritage of Turin. The association is financed by its Members, which include private companies and public bodies, through yearly donations: over 20 million Euros have been invested and 46 development and restoration works accomplished over 25 years, in cooperation with the preservation Institutions and Public Bodies.
The choices of the work to be carried out are made according to such criteria as the importance and urgency of the work itself, the prompt response and authorization from local authorities, the yearly or two yearly deadlines, and the incoming benefits in terms of image.
Besides the development and restoration work, the Consulta also promoted editorial and awareness activities regarding the relationship between Enterprises and Cultural Heritage by holding in the last five years, Workshops at the Unione Industriale di Torino (the Turin employers’ association) during the Enterprise Culture Weeks held by Confindustria (the confederation of Italian industrial companies).
